380 has bladders fitted so is a "fly away today" machine. M/R blades replaced with the latest -7's.

Built in 2006, 380 is nearly 11 years old now, so you have 18 months to go before either the inspection or the rebuild (expires June 2018).

At the moment, 380 has flown just under 1100 hours, so if you are a private buyer, you’ll probably only fly a couple of hundred hours in the next 18 months.

But for as commercial operation, such as a school or pipeline contract it would be equally as good. If you have the type of business that can fly 400 to 500 hours a year, then 380 is a bargain.

Generally speaking, and in today’s UK market, a Raven II is worth around £30k when it is time or years expired. It is unlikely that you’ll fly more than 1100 hours in 18 months (although the pipeline boys and girls do), so you know that the difference between the price you pay and 30k is going to be your depreciation.

Helicopters, they say, fit into two categories. Pay now, or pay later. 380 is a classic case of pay later, so it is ideal for someone on a budget.
